Koch Chemie Ceramic Allround C0.02 Ceramic Protective Coating comes in a 75ml size and bonds to the surface through a chemical reaction, forming a thin, water-repellent protective layer that fully cures in approximately 9 days. The coating helps with hand washing, resists acidic and alkaline cleaning, and helps reduce the effects of UV rays, road salt, bird droppings, rust and mechanical damage. Depending on usage conditions, protection lasts approximately 20-30 months: 20-24 months with a single layer, extending to 26-30 months with two layers. C0.02 focuses on multi-surface versatility; Ceramic Body Cb0.01 is designed specifically for vehicle paintwork and lasts up to 36 months.

Pre-treatment and paintwork preparation: Before polishing and sealing, wash the vehicle thoroughly with an alkaline solution, such as Green Star diluted at 1:10; do not use a car shampoo containing sealants. First remove coarse contamination such as resin, iron particles and bitumen using red or blue detailing clay, Teerwäsche A Tar and Bitumen Remover or similar products. Depending on the condition of the paintwork, machine-polish with Heavy Cut coarse cutting polish or Fine Cut fine polish, then thoroughly remove polishing residue using polishing and microfibre towels. Gently wipe all surfaces with a clean towel soaked in silicone oil and wax remover or Panel Preparation Spray, then immediately wipe dry with another fresh towel to remove surfactants, drying agents and oils that could affect adhesion. Check under suitable lighting that there are no scratches or holograms. Do not touch the paintwork with your palms or fingers after this stage; wearing gloves is recommended.

Coating application: Place the application towel on the coating applicator block, add a suitable amount of C0.02 and quickly spread it evenly over the paintwork. Work section by section, applying two passes in a cross-hatch pattern to form a thin, complete liquid film. Once the iridescent sheen has evaporated, wipe with a coating towel; evaporation time depends on temperature and humidity, with higher temperatures and humidity shortening the time required. Crystals may form when opening the bottle. Do not allow crystals to contact the application cloth, as they may scratch the surface being treated.

Application and maintenance precautions: Read the warnings on the container or outer packaging before use and take appropriate protective measures; wearing gloves is recommended. Apply indoors or in a shaded, cool area, away from direct sunlight and dust. After subsequent washes, Hydro Foam Sealant diluted at 1:50 to 1:150 can be used as a wet sealant, or Spray Sealant S0.02 can be used as a booster after 24 hours.

• Thoroughly pre-wash or wash the vehicle with an alkaline cleaner, such as Green Star diluted at 1:10; do not use a car shampoo with a sealing effect. First treat stubborn contamination such as resin, rust and tar with detailing clay or Teerwäsche A.
• Machine-polish with Heavy Cut or Fine Cut according to the condition of the paintwork; treat lightly weathered paintwork and holograms left by heavy polishing with Micro Cut and a dual-action polisher; completely remove polishing residue with a Polish and Sealing Towel.
• Gently wipe all surfaces with a clean cloth moistened with Silicon- & Wachsentferner or Panel Preparation Spray, then immediately wipe dry with another clean cloth before it dries completely; when using the former on sensitive solid-colour or single-stage paintwork, dilute with water at 1:4, preferably using distilled water. Check that the surface is free from scratches and holograms; wear gloves from this point onwards and do not touch the surface with your palms or fingers.
• Wrap an Application Towel around the applicator block and add sufficient C0.02. Quickly spread over one body panel at a time, applying two passes in a cross-hatch pattern to form a thin, continuous liquid film. Once the solvent has evaporated, first remove excess product with a Coating Towel, then use a clean side to level it with circular motions and no pressure; inspect under suitable lighting to ensure there is no residue build-up.
• Evaporation time depends on temperature and humidity, with higher levels of both shortening the time required; the official example is approximately 6 minutes at 20°C and 43% relative humidity. Approximately 15–30 ml is required per vehicle, depending on its size.
• If applying two layers, allow approximately 45 minutes for the first layer to dry, depending on temperature and humidity. Weather resistance develops only after at least 24 hours; the first wash must not take place before day 9, and curing takes longer below 15°C. After 24 hours, Spray Sealant S0.02 or Hand Wax W0.01 is recommended to protect the coating while it has not yet fully cured.
• Store for a maximum of 6 months after opening and check for crystallisation before use. Hand washing is recommended; use Green Star (1:10) for alkaline cleaning, Gentle Snow Foam for pH-neutral cleaning, and Reactivation Shampoo for deep cleaning of mineral contamination; after washing, use Hydro Foam Sealant S0.03 (1:50–1:150) or Spray Sealant S0.02 for ongoing care.

• Exterior surfaces of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, campervans, caravans and boats, such as paintwork, plastics and wheels.

• Flammable liquid and vapour; harmful if swallowed; causes severe skin burns and eye damage; may cause an allergic skin reaction; may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways; harmful to aquatic life with long-lasting effects.
• Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks and open flames. No smoking; do not breathe vapour or spray; wear protective gloves, protective clothing, eye protection and face protection; avoid release to the environment.
• If swallowed, immediately contact a poison centre or doctor. Do not induce vomiting; if on skin or hair, immediately remove contaminated clothing and rinse with water; if in eyes, rinse cautiously for several minutes, remove contact lenses if present and easy to do, then continue rinsing.
• Store in a cool, well-ventilated place; dispose of contents and container at an approved waste disposal facility.
• Read the hazard warnings on the container or outer box before use and take protective measures; check the bottle opening for crystallisation and prevent crystals from contacting application tools and scratching the surface; avoid cleaners with a pH below 3 or above 12.
