Koch Chemie Ceramic Rims Cr0.01 Wheel Coating comes in a 30 ml bottle and is designed specifically for wheel protection, not wheel cleaning. The coating bonds to the surface through a chemical reaction, providing hydrophobic water beading and resistance to acids and alkalis. It helps reduce salt and brake dust build-up, making manual cleaning easier. It lasts up to 12 months depending on maintenance and can also be applied in two layers.

Cleaning and preparation: Before application, thoroughly clean the wheels with a suitable cleaner, such as Magic Wheel Cleaner; coarse contamination such as brake dust can be tackled with suitable tools such as Detail Wheel Brush. Clean all surfaces to be coated with Panel Preparation Spray degreaser, wipe with an ultra-microfibre cloth, then dry with another clean ultra-microfibre cloth to remove surfactants and drying agents, reduce adhesion issues and watch for any hazing.

Application: Use an applicator stick to apply Cr0.01 evenly over the entire surface, leaving a thin, visible liquid film. Allow the product to react, then remove excess residue with an ultra-microfibre cloth. The optimum application temperature is 15°C to 25°C, with humidity of 40% to 50%; shorten the reaction time at higher temperatures or humidity, while lower temperatures or humidity may result in an incomplete reaction.

Drying: When applying two layers, allow approximately 30 minutes for the first layer to dry. The coating is not water-resistant for at least 24 hours; the first wash should take place no earlier than 9 days after application, as the coating will not be fully cured before then.

• Thoroughly clean the wheels first, for example with Magic Wheel Cleaner; stubborn contamination such as brake dust can be tackled with tools such as Detail Wheel Brush.
• Wipe all surfaces with a Polish & Sealing Towel dampened with Panel Preparation Spray or Silicone & Wax Remover, then dry with another clean cloth; Silicone & Wax Remover must be diluted with water at 1:4, preferably distilled water to avoid dulling the surface. Wear gloves afterwards and do not touch the surface with your palms or fingers.
• Use an applicator pen to apply Ceramic Rims Cr0.01 evenly over the surface, forming a thin, continuous liquid film; allow it to flash off, then level with a Coating Towel and remove excess residue. Optimum conditions are 15–25°C and relative humidity of 40–50%; shorten the flash-off time at higher temperatures and humidity, while the reaction may not proceed properly at lower temperatures and humidity. Use approximately 5–7 ml per wheel, depending on its size and design.
• Read the hazard warnings and take protective measures before use; wipe any crystals off the bottle opening with a cloth first to prevent them from getting onto the applicator pen and scratching the surface. If applying two layers, allow approximately 30 minutes for the first layer to dry, depending on temperature and humidity.
• Weather resistance is achieved only after at least 24 hours; do not carry out the first wash before day 9, and curing is slower below 15°C; during the first 9 days, still remove dirt carefully as soon as possible. Protection with Spray Sealant S0.02 or Hand Wax W0.01 is recommended after 24 hours. Avoid cleaners with a pH below 3 or above 12.
• Store for no more than 6 months after opening and check for crystallisation before use. Hand washing is recommended; use Green Star (1:10) for alkaline cleaning, Gentle Snow Foam for pH-neutral cleaning, and Magic Wheel Cleaner or Reactivation Shampoo for deep cleaning of mineral contamination; after washing, maintain with Hydro Foam Sealant S0.03 (1:50–1:200), Spray Sealant S0.02 or Hand Wax W0.01.

• Wheels on private cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, motorhomes and touring caravans.

• If the temperature is below 15°C,curing time will be extended.
• During the first nine days,carefully remove dirt as soon as possible.
• After application,within 24 hours it is recommended to use Spray Sealant S0.02 Bodywork Coating Spray for protection.
• Avoid cleaners with a pH below 3 or above 12.
