Koch Chemie Washing sponge

Koch Chemie Washing sponge is made from a special foam blend with high water and foam absorption, making it suitable for hand washing large areas of vehicle bodywork. Its tear-resistant and chemical-resistant properties, combined with a gentle cleaning approach, make it convenient for repeated everyday car washing.

Before use, check that the sponge is clean and free from debris, then soak it in clean water until fully saturated and apply an appropriate amount of cleaning agent evenly to the sponge. Gently wipe the vehicle surface to remove dirt and stains. Washing from top to bottom is recommended to reduce dirt falling back onto cleaned areas. After completing each section, rinse the dirt from the sponge with clean water and repeat until the entire vehicle has been washed.

It can be used with the two-bucket wash method: fill one bucket with clean water and the other with car shampoo solution. Rinse the sponge in the clean water bucket before each dip into the shampoo solution to reduce the risk of scratches caused by grit. Use separate sponges for bodywork and wheels to avoid cross-contamination. The sponge is suitable for cleaning large areas, while microfibre mitts such as the Koch-Chemie Exterior Wash Mitt focus more on trapping grit. Both can be used together according to cleaning needs.

After use, rinse the sponge thoroughly and leave it to air dry in a cool, shaded place, then store it in a dry location away from direct sunlight. Dirt may accumulate in the sponge over prolonged use, so replace it regularly to maintain cleaning performance.
