Soft99 Rust Removal and Prevention Kit

Soft99 Rust Removal and Prevention Kit treats rust removal and aftercare as separate steps, containing 85g rust remover and 14ml rust prevention oil. Cap-mounted brushes make it easy to apply the liquids to rusty areas, making the kit suitable for localised rust treatment on metal.

The rust remover contains non-ionic surfactants and phosphoric acid, using a chemical reaction to dissolve rust and reduce reliance on sanding. After application, wait 5-10 minutes, then wipe away the dissolved rust; follow with the included rust prevention oil. Its mineral oil, rust inhibitors and petroleum solvents form a protective layer to help reduce rust recurrence.

Suitable not only for car bodywork, but also for metal components on motorcycles and bicycles, as well as household metal items such as doors, windows and tools; check which metals and items are unsuitable before use.

Preparation: Work in a well-ventilated area; wearing protective gloves is recommended. If the paint over the rusty area has peeled or lifted, first use sandpaper to thoroughly remove the loose old coating and fully expose the rust.Apply rust remover: Use the cap-mounted brush to apply the rust remover generously to the rusty area.Allow to react: Leave for approximately 5～10 minutes to allow the rust remover to react fully with the rust.Wipe away rust: Use a dry cloth to thoroughly wipe away the dissolved rust. If it is not completely removed in one application, repeat steps 2～4 until all rust has been removed.Remove residual liquid: Thoroughly wipe away all remaining rust remover, leaving no residue.Apply rust prevention oil: Immediately apply the included rust prevention oil to cover the freshly treated metal surface and prevent rust from recurring.Important: Rust will recur if rust prevention oil is not applied or the surface is not subsequently painted.Subsequent painting: If you plan to carry out spray-paint repairs after removing rust, do not apply the rust prevention oil; proceed directly with the primer and topcoat application steps.
