PPF is a transparent thermoplastic polyurethane film applied over the paint to absorb stone chips and light abrasion. It is a physical protection layer and does not alter the paint itself.
At LETS GET WASH: PPF installation is handled by our related brand LETS GET WRAP with a 10-year anti-yellowing warranty; LETS GET WASH handles routine washing and edge care for already-filmed cars.
A ceramic coating is a mostly silica (SiO₂) liquid layer that cures into a hydrophobic sacrificial film on the paint, so dirt adheres less and rinses away more easily.
At LETS GET WASH: Our coatings carry a 1–5 years warranty depending on product tier. A coating improves cleanability and gloss retention; it is not scratch protection.
Swirl marks are dense, fine arc-shaped scratches in the clear coat, usually caused by dry wiping, dirty towels or contact washing with grit present. They appear as a swirl pattern under direct light.
At LETS GET WASH: We pre-rinse and foam-dwell to lift hard particles before any contact wash to lower the risk. This is risk reduction, not a zero-scratch guarantee.
Iron fallout is brake dust and airborne metal particles embedded in paint or wheels that oxidise into orange specks; ordinary shampoo will not remove them.
At LETS GET WASH: This is an extra treatment quoted after assessment and is not included in the standard wash price; roadside-parked cars in Hong Kong are the most affected.
Water spots are mineral deposits left when droplets evaporate on paint or glass. Left in the sun they can etch into the clear coat and then require polishing.
At LETS GET WASH: We air-dry plus towel-dry before handover to reduce spotting. The handover check confirms the current state and does not guarantee against future spotting.
Paint correction uses abrasives and a machine polisher to level an extremely thin layer of clear coat, removing swirls and oxidation. It is subtractive work and clear coat thickness is finite.
At LETS GET WASH: This is a separate service from washing: a wash will not remove existing scratches. We assess paint condition before scheduling correction.
