Around 9 hours; final timing depends on paint and cabin condition

Black paint is valued for its depth and clear reflections, but spotting and fine surface marks can quickly soften the body lines. This real Mercedes-Benz E53 case follows the visible condition of the bonnet, boot and cabin mats before and after Car Rescue Level 1.

The documented work goes beyond a surface wash: contamination, paint correction and interior deep cleaning are treated as distinct tasks, with real workshop photographs showing paint and seat care.

The owner's problem

Marks, pale spotting and fine lines were visible across the black bonnet and boot under inspection lights, while everyday debris had collected in the cabin mats. The priority was to separate contamination from paint defects before treatment.

What we did

  1. 1Deep foam wash with targeted removal of insects, sap and bonded residue.
  2. 2Clay decontamination and condition-led oxidation treatment.
  3. 3Machine polishing to refine gloss, followed by degreasing for the protection stage.
  4. 4Headlamp-surface assessment and separate interior and exterior glass cleaning.
  5. 5Deep cleaning for two seats, two seat belts and touch points, plus mats, boot and trim.
  6. 6Material checks before the KOCH-CHEMIE CB0.02 body, lamp and windscreen coating package.

Result

In the after photographs, the black finish appears cleaner and inspection-light reflections read more clearly. Loose debris is reduced across the mat and cabin details are refreshed. The photographs are observational, not a measured defect-removal claim.

Aftercare

Polishing is not a respray; deep scratches, chips and failed paint need separate assessment. The one-year term describes the coating package, not a scratch-proof or maintenance-free guarantee.

01

Assess contamination before correcting paint

Close photographs show pale spots, ring marks and fine lines across the bonnet, with dense fine marks visible on the boot under strong lighting. Photographs alone cannot establish the cause or depth of every defect, so inspection comes first.

The process begins by removing contamination, then selects an appropriate polishing approach for the paint rather than pursuing unrestricted correction.

02

Visible finish after paint polishing

After care, the black base and inspection-light reflections appear clearer across the bonnet and boot, allowing the headlamp, AMG badge and body edges to read more distinctly.

Lighting and camera angles differ, so the images document appearance rather than a measured scratch-removal percentage. Deep damage still requires separate assessment.

03

Mat and seat detailing

Before cleaning, loose debris and dust are visible around the dotted mat texture. The after image shows those loose deposits reduced and the pattern more clearly defined; cleaning does not erase material wear.

Level 1 includes deep cleaning and deodorising for two seats and two seat belts, plus mats, boot, door cards, dashboard and touch points. Methods are selected for the actual perforation and material.

04

HKD 3,999 with KOCH-CHEMIE coating package

Car Rescue Level 1 is HKD 3,999. The standard package lists a gift valued above HKD 3,800: a one-year KOCH-CHEMIE CB0.02 single-layer body coating, plus lamp and front-windscreen treatments.

Every surface remains subject to material and condition checks. The one-year description is not a no-wash or scratch-proof promise.

05

Allow around nine hours

Level 1 generally takes around 9 hours, subject to paint and cabin condition. Drop-off and collection are agreed in advance; the estimate is not an unconditional same-day handover.

Mercedes-Benz owners dealing with dull black paint, visible residue or a cabin that needs deeper cleaning can share photographs first and confirm the process after inspection.
